Vencarlo Orisini is a noted swordmaster and owner of the Orisini Academy in the Korvosan neighborhood of Old Korvosa.

Twitch, Shakro, and Sav met him during a meeting with Field Marshall Cressida Kroft. He is a very worldly and likeable gentleman who seems to genuinely care for Korvosa and her people. When Kroft was not able to pay the heroes adequately for a delicate job, Vencarlo pitched in 500 Gold Sails from his own coffers.

Grau Soldado and Sabina Merrin have both trained under his tutelage and the three apparently did not part ways on the best of terms. Vencarlo still seems to wish his old students well and was very pleased to hear that Grau appears to be on the road of recovery.
