The Gray Maidens are an elite bodyguard in the services of the crown of Korvosa. Founded by Queen Ileosa Arabasti after the chaos resulting from her husband’s death, little is known about its exclusively female members clad in heavy full-plate armor and dressed with crimson-red plumes.

They currently protect and support the Queen’s Physicians in their task of battling the outbreak of blood veil in the city and members of the order are becoming a more and more common sight in the streets.
